The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), encouraged by the positive reception to its previous initiatives, intends to introduce another scheme to sell residential plots during the next holiday season. On the occasion of Navratri, the Authority is set to introduce a new residential plot project consisting of around 2,000 land parcels, as per official announcements. These plots, which fall into the lower size category, are intended for buyers in the middle class.
CEO of Yamuna Authority Arun Vir Singh stated that while the Authority's prior residential plot initiatives were well received, many individuals were unable to participate, hence an additional scheme was devised.
Through our initiatives, we aim to introduce around 4,000 residential sites. These will be smaller plots, perhaps ranging in size from 120 to 162 square meters, according to Singh.
According to a YEIDA official, two out of the four thousand plots will be introduced during the Navratri celebrations.
According to the official, the new residential plot project will be implemented in the areas close to Noida International Airport. The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) registration process for this program has also been initiated by the Authority.
Officials said these plots will be allotted through a lucky draw. The allotment rate is likely to be around Rs 25,900 per sq m. If allotted at this rate, the smallest 120 sq m plot will cost around Rs 31.08 lakh while the 162 sq m plot around Rs 41.95 lakh.
The YEIDA had in July 2024 launched a scheme for 361 residential plots in sectors 16, 18, 20 and 22D. The Authority will conduct the lucky draw for the 361 residential plots on October 10.
Over 2.4 lakh people had registered for 1,184 residential plots in the YEIDA residential plot scheme that closed on September 4, 2023.
